The Foodbank of Southern California

The Foodbank is privileged to work with volunteers from all walks of life

Prior to Covid-19 The Foodbank was privileged to work with over 325 volunteers from all walks of life; including retired seniors, families, high school teens, corporate employees, clergy, and individuals in transitional living. Our volunteers contributed over 1,550 hours each month towards feeding the hungry. Much of the activity was associated with handling community donations of food product. Since the onset of Covid-19 The Foodbank suspended all Volunteer activities associated with food handling. We look forward to resuming this vibrant program by late summer 2022.

Members of the community make a significant difference in the lives of hungry people. Whether it is collecting, sorting and repacking food, running special events, or conducting grassroots fund raising projects, volunteers are the daily bread of The Foodbank. Volunteers provide time, energy and financial donations that make a lasting impact on the important work of feeding the hungry.

If you or the organization you represent would like to engage in volunteerism for The Foodbank of Southern California, please provide us with your contact information and a representative of The Foodbank will be in touch with you.
