Your philanthropic donations make it possible for The Foodbank to distribute over 37 million pounds of nutritious food to hundreds of certified charitable agencies. In turn these organizations feed hundreds of thousands of hungry people. Each week 68 out of every 100 people served are children, 19 out of every 100 are senior, and 13 out of every 100 are adults.
In its 34th year of service, The Foodbank is operating at peak efficiency providing $29 worth of food for every $1 you donate. Nationwide this figure is unprecedented and remains unmatched in food banking today. The National average is $9.
The Foodbank prides itself in only asking you for the philanthropic support it needs to efficiently conduct its programs and services. The Foodbank’s administrative operations are geared to maximize funding so that community dollars go directly to feeding the hungry. The Foodbank does not raise funds to pay for high salaries, over inflated budgets, or flashy inappropriate overhead expenses; 85 cents of every dollar you donate goes directly to feeding the hungry, while 15 cents is used for administration.
The most cost effective way for you to donate is right here on The Foodbank website through the secure web site.
You can also make your contribution through other portals such as:
JustGive.org or Network for Good.
