Roosevelt’s Letter
My grandfather, United States President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, addressed Congress in 1941 stating “We look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms…” To me, the most important of these is the Freedom From Want. Hunger is as much a struggle today as it was 65 years ago. We at the Foodbank address this need. It is our philosophy that no person, not even for a single day, should go without wholesome nutritious food.
